How to find the stations

If you want to travel by underground you will spot the stations thanks to various sign elements.
The flag with the TMB underground symbol helps to spot where the entrance is.
At the same entrance there are some information boards where you will see :

- Name of the station.
- Lines you may have access to.
- Map of the network.
- Timetables of the underground and access to the station.
- Maps of the area with the situation of other accesses.

How to board the train

Once at the lobby, you will find everything you need to know how to make your trip, as well as the tickets you need.

If you do not have one, you will be able to purchase it from the selling machines or at the ticket offices, and, in order to cross to cross the payment line, you will have to validate it at the rotating gate.

Once inside, remember that the maximum time inside the premises is 120 minutes. Along all the premises in the underground, there will be notices, maps of the lines, plans of the network, an information screen on the waiting time and other interesting information through the loudspeakers all along the station.
Prior to reaching the platform, check which direction to go on the sketches of the network.
Both at the lobbies and the platforms, there are intercoms available for you to contact the TMB staff in case you need help.

On boarding the train, and once letting those who have arrived alight, it is important not to stand by the doors in order not to block the way out, and to follow the instructions inside the carriages. Besides the sketches of the line and all the maps of the network, the loudspeakers announce the stations to come and the transfers with other lines.

How to alight the underground

When you reach your station you may use the information on directions located on the platforms, where you can also see the various exits, and if you do not know the area, you may check the map at the information area; a map with the interest spots, interesting urban elements and the buses you can take from there. You can also get this information at the lobbies.

Day after day, the underground is adjusting to disabled people ; lifts, escalators floormarks for blind people and loudspeakers.

These elements already exist at the new stations and is being implemented on the existing ones.

On all the maps of the underground network, you can check for those stations for people of reduced mobility.

Where can I find a bus?

You will find many stops along the bus route, all of which are marked with a sign or a shelter. Lots of stops have platforms to help you get on the bus.

If you are at a stop and you see the bus you want coming along, you should hold out your arm so that the driver knows that you want to get on.

What do I have to do when I get on?

Remember that you must validate your travel card in the machine. If you don't have a card, you can buy a single ticket from the driver.

Go towards the back of the bus to take a seat. Don't stand in the doorway, because you will be in the way of other people who want to get on.

The bus has several seats reserved for pensioners, pregnant women and disabled passengers. These people have priority with regard to seating.

Before getting off the bus

When the bus is approaching your stop, you should warn the driver by pressing the red "Request Stop" button.
