¿What is TMB MAPS and which services offers?

TMB MAPS offers detailed maps of the TMB buses and metro routes. Moreover, it offers functional information of available transports from the different regions of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona and other informations such as the metro timetable.

¿What are the minimum requirements to meet in order to use TMB MAPS correctly on the mobile device?

• Windows Mobile 2003 OS or higher.
• Adobe Flash player 6.0 o higher.
• 50 MB of free space on your hard disk.

¿Which Web browsers are compatible with TMB MAPS application?

TMB MAPS is compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer for Pocket PC and Mozilla Firefox.

¿Is TMB MAPS a free service?

Yes, TMB MAPS is a service that TMB offers completely for free. No additional expenses are associated with it.

¿Should I enable any Internet access on my mobile device in order to use TMB MAPS?

No, to use TMB MAPS service on your PDA an Internet connection is not mandatory. It is needed only when TMB MAPS is downloaded from the Web and in order to upgrade this Software by downloading newer Add-ons or revisions.

¿There are more than one version of TMB MAPS?

Yes, there are two versions of TMB MAPS application. The first one, is a reduced version, which includes reduced bus lines maps and a single map of the whole metro's network. Once donwloaded this reduced version, you'll be able to download, separately, the detailed version of the bus maps that you are interested in (JPG format).

Adittionally, as a extension for the reduced version (not as a complement) there is the complete version, which includes detailed maps of each TMB bus and metro lines in JPG format.

What about bus lines that suffer service modifications or that are changing its route temporarily or definitively? How I can update TMB MAPS in order to reflect these changes.

TMB MAPS is frequently updated in order to offer reliable and useful information to the citizen.

I have installed the Flash Player version 6 and the TMB MAPS application on my mobile device, but a red screen is shown when application is started, interrupting loading process.

This visualization problems are the result of an incorrect management of the mobile device memory caused by the Flash Player.

In order to solve this problem, you should evaluate if there are many applications running while TMB MAPS application is starting. In case of low availability of free memory, maybe the "TMB MAPS" application does not obtain the required memory to run correctly, and maybe, in some cases, it can be closed o behave incorrectly.

One way to free memory closing aplications that are not required while TMB MAPS is running, is to use the system task manager of the Windows Mobile operating system.

I download the "TMB MAPS" application from the TMB Web correctly and I follow the installation instructions detailed in the Web guide, but when the process finishes a message conteining the following information is shown on screen: "This program was designed for an older version of Windows Mobile and can not work correctly". I have Windows Mobile 5 installed on my mobile device.

You must check if Flash Player version 6 for the Pocket PC, at least is correctly installed on your mobile device. To do so, run: "Start->Configuration->System->Uninstall programs" and check out the installed programs of your moble device. If the Adobe Flash Player is not listed, you can download it from: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/

After completing succesfully the TMB MAPS installation process, when starting the application, the TMB is shown for a few seconds, dissapearing later and then leaving the browser screen blank.

Check if Flash Player version 6 is installed on your mobile device.
