Targetes de transport

Where can I change a card?
Tickets susceptible to change but that you were unable to use on the buses or at the stations can be changed at the TMB Customer Care Centres.

Which card works out to be cheapest?
It depends on the number of journeys you make a month. If you do less than 40 journeys a month, the most economical solution is the T-10. If you make between 40-80 trips a month, it will work out cheapest to buy the T-50/30. If you make more than 80 trips per month, you should get the T-Mes.

What must I do to obtain a T-Mes?
Buy your T-Mes monthly card at your nearest Metro station by presenting identification so the T-Mes can be put in your name.

When can I buy a T-Mes?
You can buy a T-Mes whenever you want. It will be valid for 30 consecutive days from the day you first use it.

Is there a discount in the T-Mes with the Young Person's Card, or for students, old-age pensioners or large families?
There is no discount on the monthly pass.

Can the T-50/30 be used on the bus?
The T-50/30 is now an integrated ticket which allows you to use up to 4 means of transport in each journey (Metro, bus, FGC and RENFE (national railway) trains *)
*In Zone 1 from 1st June 2001, except for the airport, which is not included. The stations in the other zones will gradually be incorporated into this system during 2001.

Can my two children use the T-50/30 if they travel together?
No. It is non-transferable (only one person may use it).

Who can apply for the Targeta Rosa?
Any senior citizen registered in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area and who meets the required economic conditions is eligible for the Targeta Rosa.

What do I have to do to obtain the Targeta Rosa?
Ask your Town Hall for further information. If you live in Barcelona you must go to the District Council.


To which TMB services am I entitled?
T.R. holders can travel free or at a discounted rate on the TMB Metro and bus network (except special services, etc.).

How to use the Targeta Rosa?
Holders of the free T-Rosa will have to validate (pass through the vending machine) the T-Rosa directly; its use is individual. As indicated on the card, they must carry the original identity card.
Holders of the reduced fee TR will have to validate (go through the vending machine) the card T-4, which has to be purchased in advance. Its use is individual. As indicated on the card, they must carry the original identity card.

Fines

Where can I pay a fine?
At the Information and Customer Services Centres or at branches of "La Caixa". Via a postal order, showing the fine reference number.

How can I appeal against a fine?
You can send it by post to our Customer Service and Information Centres, You can send a letter to Transports de Barcelona, SA; Apartat de Correus, 151, 08080 Barcelona (for buses) or Ferrocarril Metropolità de Barcelona, SA, Apartat de Correus, 831; 08080 Barcelona ; stating the reference number where possible.

What must I do if my "Targeta Rosa" has been confiscated for being out of date and I have been fined?
If you do not have a valid "Targeta Rosa", you must phone 900 70 00 77 to have them send you one. If you already have it, please lodge a claim explaining the circumstances and enclose a photocopy of the valid Targeta Rosa together with identification.

What can I do if they have taken my Targeta Rosa from me and fined me for not carrying identification?
Please lodge a complaint and enclose a photocopy of your identification. You must take your claim form to the Centre at Universitat, at least four days after the date of the fine and, subject to identification, you will be able to collect your confiscated "Targeta Rosa".

What must I do if my T-Mes has been confiscated and I have been fined for not carrying identification?
Please lodge a complaint and enclose a photocopy of your identification. Take your claim form to the Centre at Universitat, at least four days after the date of the fine and, subject to identification, you will be able to collect the T-Mes.

Lost & Found

How can I recover an item I left on a bus?
Items found on a TMB Metro or bus are sent to the Customer Service and Information Centre at Universitat Station. You can either go there in person or phone them the following day from 16h. If it is there you can collect it on presentation of your ID.

How can I find out if they have kept an item of mine I lost in the Metro a month ago?
Items that were found and not claimed are sent each Monday and Thursday to the Barcelona Town Hall's lost property office, Pl. Pi i Sunyer 10; phone 010 for information.

Two weeks ago I lost my "Targeta Rosa" on the bus and it hasn't turned up; what must I do?
If you have lost your "Targeta Rosa" and have not found it, you should report its loss to your Town Hall (district office if you live in Barcelona).

animals access

Can I travel with my dog?
Metro and Bus.The only animals that are authorised to travel are guide dogs, dogs accompanying security guards or pets which are transported in special containers to prevent them from dirtying their surroundings or from inconveniencing other users.

bicycle access

Can I go with my bicycle into the metro or bus?
Bicycles may be taken on the metro on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. And everyday during the months of July and August. On weekdays and during the rest of the year, from 5:00 a.m.to 7:00 a.m., from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m. until closing hour.

Can I travel with my luggage?
Luggage dimensions should not exceed 100 x 60 x 25 cm.

Access with roller-skates

Can I go with roller-skates into the metro or bus?
It is not permitted to enter the metro's installations on roller-skates or the like, nor to travel with material which could cause inconvenience or prove dangerous to other passengers.

Bus. It is forbidden to travel with roller-skates, or to have noxious or hazardous substances which may offend or cause harm to other passengers.
