The underground of the future

Yet, without any doubt, due to its importance and its interlinking functionality with the rest of the net, the building of the new L-9 is the most important project included in the PDI. It will be 41 Km long and it will add 43 new stations to the present ones ,13 of which will be transfer stations. Besides, this line will interlink vital points of the Metropolitan Area, such as the airport, the new High Speed Station of Sagrera or the Barcelona Fair.

This line is conceived to be a completely automatic exploitation. As some of its most remarkable points, it will have trains without drivers, although, logically, the automatic system will be applied to all the systems of the exploitation group. All this must add up to guarantee a high degree of satisfaction for the customers, in aspects such as conveniency, comfort and safety.
