The light underground in Can Cuiàs (line 11) is a
means of transport consisting of a train with two carriages
and a tunnel infrastructure. It is designed in a single track,
with crossings at Torre Baró - Vallbona station.
It departs from Trinitat Nova station, where it shares station
with Line 4 and where transfers can be made. The other stations
are Casa de l'Aigua, Torre Baró, Ciutat Meridiana and
Can Cuiàs. All of them are underground stations and
the Ciutat Meridiana one is considerably deep.
The area serviced by this light transport is part of the
Zona Nord (North Zone) within the Nou Barris district, a district
which contains three quarters: Ciutat Meridiana, Torre Baró
and Vallbona. Also, transports are laned towards Can Cuiàs
industrial state and the Santa Elvira nucleus, in the municipality
of Montcada i Reixac. It is a particularly difficult orographic
area for any means of transport, with a reduced accessibility
among quarters in the same zone.
