To be able to carry out optimal and efficient planning of
the different signal-treatment systems, we designed an integration
network of systems in accordance with the following criteria:
- Overall service profile
- Safety and reliability. The data-transport network is designed
to cover different errors through the use of alternative routes,
double systems or by guaranteeing electricity supply through
the UPS.
- Physical wideband coverage The network coverage uses fibre
optics, and is further complemented with copper and coaxial
pairs.
- The networks are expandable, both in terms of speed as well
as services.
The electricity supply to trains, the operation of the water-extraction
pumps, the escalators, the video-surveillance systems and
the on-board safety systems are also controlled centrally.
Another group of communication needs refers to the customer-service
and information systems, through electronic information panels
that provide useful information to the user. This group also
includes the intercom system, by which Metro passengers can
communicate with the heads of each station or with the Control
Room.
The section that deals with internal corporate communications
features a radio communications system
With regard to buses, the radio telephone equipment is an
indispensable element that supports the SAE and regulates
the movement of vehicles along the different stops.
A final transmission group includes the telephone communication
systems that allow interconnections between the different
work centres.
