Exclusive stores and the tradicional financial district
This square, which is named after the former president of the
Catalan government, Francesc Macià, is one of the city's
most elegant shopping and business areas. The most famous internacional
brands have their boutiques on this part of the Diagonal, which
is part of the city's shopping line. The Turó Park, which
is near this square, maintains the charm of the early thirties
when ¡t was opened. A statue of Pau Casals, the world's
best- known Catalan musician, stands at the entrance. The avenue
which links the Diagonal to the park is named after him.
